Women’s State League fixtures have been released for next season. 8 team league playing each other 3 times for a season of 21 games. I don’t know where they are as I only have my daughter’s club. Teams are, Jets, Vista, Jaguars, Grove, South Adelaide, Cove, Western Strikers and Sturt Lions.

Re: future of saasl and csl
I believe cricket season goes October to March and Football April to September. That’s why a lot of clubs wanting preseason game arrange to be away. The clubs that share really don’t have a say cos the councils own the grounds. There are a few that are lucky but not many.

Re: Croydon
Like I’ve wrote before FFSA should have put them down 2 or 3 divisions just to help the girls. I was there last Sunday it was 13 nil at half time and some of the Croydon girls had some spark but after letting in another 19 goals in the second half and with the indignity of having their keeper sent o ...

Croydon and Elizabeth Grove byes in first round. I don’t give Croydon a chance but Elizabeth Grove might give Metro a good game saying there are about 5 or 6 ex Metro players in the Grove side ( as in any team from metro npl, reserves and Div1)

Did you really think that the decision would be overturned You gotta be living on Mars. SAASL haven’t made a decision in over 50 years and now with FFSA don’t expect anything as long as money keeps flowing into the coffers.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Grove on winning the State league cup over Campbelltown on penalties. My daughter told me they had 2 drinks break each half to intake fluids. First half was HOT but cooled down second half.

Then I reckon Croydon will probably fold sometime early in the season. The FSA are crap for rejecting the request.nathanburns15 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 1:19 pm I believe Croydon's request to withdraw from the WSL was rejected by FSA.
Perhaps Croydon should resort to under the table payments to players like the rest of the comp?

Absolute mismatch in Croydon’s last 2 games in the State league. They lost to South Adelaide 22-0 then 25-0 to Elizabeth grove. Versus the grove they only started with 10 players and to start the second half they had 9 players. If the Football federation had a heart they would or could put them in d ...

Watched a good game last night at Argana Park between The Downs and Pirates. First time I’ve been to watch The Downs in 4 years and was really impressed with some of the football played by both sides. Tony Parisi continues the production of good coaches at The Downs after Alan Mottram. The only d ...

Also on that point What about the clubs that formed the amateur league in the 60’s that have disbanded? I know the Downs had 2 teams early 70’s then + under18s in 74 & 75. 76 3 teams,77 4 teams then today 5 teams. So you can’t go on team basis it would have to be per club, otherwise it would proba ...

You think 8 teams a joke then how about 7 teams in Div 1 and 9 teams in Div 2. Even a 5 year old child would say why don’t they even the divisions up with 8 teams apiece then there wouldn’t be any byes. SAFA organising piss up in brewery I think NOT

Good game Downs had a good ground game passing it around but when they lost the ball Farm broke away twice to go 2 up. Last 5 mins first half Downs put in 2 goals to go in equal at half time. After the break Downs again passed the ball around with both sides having chances until the Downs scored ...

Yes it’s in today’s paper BUT it doesn’t say anything about Ghan only what Croatia received. Are the SAASL too scared to really say owt about them OR will it be brushed under the carpet (as usual).

Ladies Fixtures 2021
Why oh why can common sense not prevail? The Ladies Division 1 league this year have 7 teams and the Ladies division 2 league have 9 teams. Why can’t someone in authority not use this common sense to make the leagues even at 8 teams each. This would negate the need of 2 teams (1 each league) from h ...

Should start lower than premier league. Div 4 or 5 my guess unless something shonky happens in the meanwhile.
