Bahrain is the most liberal of all gulf countries - the saudis drive there on weekends to go drinking and has the biggest iranian population of any arab country. I smell BS, no, wait, it's Old Master again.

great article by Roy Masters on the politics behind this. dollar amount had to be higher than the NRL / 9 deal after the NRL screwed Foxtel out of the State of Origin. Rupert Murdoch sticking it up the new NRL Commission.
hopefully this translates to football, but is unlikely.

When will Ranieri go crazy in Malesani/Gattuso style? Ranieri won't have a chance to go crazy bcoz he'll be found floating somewhere in the Aegean in the next week or so I'd suggest. The guy couldn't coach a root in a macdonalds if his life depended on it. I called it from the moment he was ...

We didnt play Asian Cup Qualifiers = we didnt gain a whole bunch of points from those matches. The maths is simple, wish the media would actually report properly. Look at Brazil before the World Cup, they dropped from #1 down to the 20s.

Your final sentence in brackets is the key. If so they'll all go down. If they dont however, I'm convinced people are still going to ask for a pound of flesh. Being fined $2m, loss of draft picks and being checked out of finals isn't book being thrown? How many times can you get penalised for the ...

Re: Balotelli to Liverpool
Liverpool blew their chance. They really did. Had one of the best players (and headcases) in the world in the form of his life for a whole season, a league that struggled to adapt to their manager's tactics, the Moyes Man Utd season, and a 14 match winning run and were nominally 3 points (actually ...
