Re: Skillaroo and State Teams fees
On topic... fees for representative teams are large for some, when you might also have jsut gotten through club fees and/or academy fees. But I gotta say you gotta do a lot of homework too. There are some grants to be applied for either individually or as a team which I certainly found even some ...

Re: SAPSASA??? :-/
SA boys finished 2nd overall. A 1-1 draw with Victoria on the final day secured 2nd spot with NSW taking out 1st place winning all their games. All up it was a fairly succesful tournament and some fantastic talent on show from all states, and I'd say whilst perhaps a little biased, we had a couple ...

Re: SAPSASA??? :-/
how many Stic players were named in the SA squad? Surely out of the top 18 players in this ELITE selection process there has to be one who plays for his school, and is selected to go to Canberra this coming week. Here's the teams (and their schools): http://www.decs.sa.gov.au/sport/pages/sapsasa I ...

Re: Skillaroos 2012
So a child misses a representative selection, a you would consider changing sports ?? You're playing for the wrong reasons then ..... Personally no, and in most ways at least for my son, I dont make the choice, he does (and it would never be about "making a rep team", only about whether the game is ...

Re: Skillaroos 2012
No process is without flaws..... I think in reality so long as kids who perhaps didn't shine in club games when scouts were around, trials, STIC games etc, dont have the door shut on them for next year, or the year after etc then the talented kids will eventually get noticed. And from what I am told ...

Re: long term contracts
tbh you could probably only sign parents up to the contractual arrangement.... like a mobile phone lol..... then we'll have FFSA or something having to sort out contractual disputes. if we already see some parents getting upset about how much time their child gets on the pitch, imagine theres a ...

Re: Silly Question Why do clubs push players Up
speaking to an overseas talent scout, he told me that if a coach at a junior club had his team regularly winning 8/9/10-0 then he should be sacked. Reason being that he is holding these kids back and not challenging them. He believed that a mid table squad is where you want to be for development ie ...

Re: SAPSASA??? :-/
.. have only closely watched games in the boys div 1 and most of the coaches I have seen are JPL Club coaches some of them highly regarded ... the standard has been pretty good with some good talent ... in the games I have watched the teams have been fairly even with most of the teams both winning ...
