Re: Fight?

Just heard on 5AA that Channel 9 has footage of the incident and will show on the 6pm news tonight. Also that one of the clubs refused to show up to the SAASL disciplinary hearing last night.

his department funded the saasl to the tune of $135k to integrate refugee group team. a refugee group team causes issues on sunday. pretty sure he can question why he is funding the saasl at that point. not his department. Fed Govt Dept of Immigration. When he puts his hand in his pocket he can ...

Re: Where to from here?
How will the FFA or the FFSA stop this type of behaviour?????? I would like them to explain further than just make these statements, the FFA and FFSA to them see the SAASL and E&D is an untaped pot of gold that they would love to get their hands on and of course up will go the rego fees, this will ...

The SAASL are blamed because this is not the first time an incident like this has been caused by these idiots, and that they have a history of letting back in groups that continually cause this crap.

Re: Recruitment vs Coaching
ok then Nuggett to narrow it down further - let's assume that the coach does all the recruiting - what is the more important part of his role -
the day-to-day (or training / gameday) coaching
or
the recruitment of quality players

so there you go, Val beating to his own drum, not one AU player in the squad.
I assume if Van Dijk is eligible, he would be in Indonesian squad, however.

Recruitment vs Coaching
An interesting argument that has come out of some posts Nuggett, myself, LRO etc have made in the Div 1 2012 coaches thread. IMO at amateur level, recruitment is far more important than coaching. Gaining 3 or 4 players in key positions has the ability to significantly boost or drop a team from ...

Re: Sunday Div 1 coaches for 2012
I get what your saying Nugget but heres another example, Aaron won the league at Florina that had several "Silverware hunters" that also were "Compensation hunters" when the compenasation stopped where did those players and Florina end up? Cooky is part of the reason (a Major one actually) but you ...

Re: Sunday Div 1 coaches for 2012
with all due respect at amateur level the coaches only do so much. 3 or 4 key changes in personnel can either cause a team to shoot up or down the table. recruitment is a much more important job than actual coaching. obviously cooky knows what he is doing given the recruitment at gardens in the last ...

just takes time, is all. with a full-time team in there could have made a media statement and announced preliminary sanctions pending investigation blah blah to the saasl and interested communities this morning. very sad, this has to happen! Im all in for players having a tough time with each, banter etc with spectators, but Taking it to this extreme level of violence is just plain stupid and thuggery! SAASL must do something to kill of this sort of behaviour, but as in past examples, their NOT swift ...
