We recently asked the question of FFSA and the answer that came back was no. I suspect it will be introduced in 2016 as part of the new 3-year NPL participation agreement.magnet wrote:Is this still something that is under consideration for the 2015 season?

Re: Huge Scorelines
can anyone involved with the juniors confirm the rule from the FFSA regarding high score thrashings???? i was made aware that any win by high score will have a maximum of an 8 goal win. for example if a team won 20 nil the result will show 8-0 thanks Obviously no such rule as evidenced by the 18-0 ...

Living in Flagstaff Hill, Sturt Lions would be your best option. Keep an eye on these forums and the club website (http://www.sturtlions.com.au) for information on preseason. Will be up shortly.

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
No promotion and relegation for CHILDREN to worry and stress about, and no coaches and parents to go crazy about Which comes to another question, why don't u18s and reserves have promotion and relegation and no one has ever questioned this seeing its so important ? PS ... Wasn't I retired from this ...

Re: Card checks - What do we think
So 7th plays 3rd in a dead last match of the season, but still wants a card check. What is the motivation there? That's a very good question. You will find that this is the same club that requested a card check today with their U15 team. Last game of the year their team sitting bottom or 2nd bottom ...

1) SL clubs with smaller volunteer base is a long day for the ones who do volunteer (but I guess this is the whole point of SL clubs need to do more, to raise more, to compete more, right?) True but keep in mind that if all teams play home the one weekend, then all teams will be away the next ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Let's do it the other way. Raiders have started good junior development. Croydon I think might be on the right path. Metros, Campbelltown, Comets on their way... The rest, I don't know? Is their development so spectacularly better that they deserve to be singled out over State league clubs? If this ...

So if there is A,B,C with relegation/promotion, travelling time is ok then ? I think it may be a good idea to have a look at the current divisions and see how little these travel extremes currently occur. Check it out. The new proposal makes every single SL junior team travel massively and the PL ...

Club boundaries or recruiting zones will not work in Adelaide because of the poor geographical spread of the clubs. For instance, Raiders, AC, Metro, ABE and Campbelltown are all within a 10km radius of each other, as are Pirates, Croydon, Strikers, Toros, Olympic & White City.

We also have and need JSL teams Now... this is an interesting topic! When JSL was introduced, I, like many expected player movement such that the more talented players spread themselves evenly amongst the 30 mens clubs in order to play at the highest level, JPL. I'm sure this was the FFSA plan as ...

Re: U18 Substitution/Interchange Rules
Some very good points made by Johnnydep here. While not necessarily being a supporter of the move to U18/U20 I do understand the rationale behind it. In only going half-baked, the FFSA with U18 & Res will create some real problems for many kids who will be lost to the sport or forced to Amateurs in ...

Re: Are Juniors funding Senior set ups in Adelaide Town?
Let me put it in perspective: Fulham fees range from $250 to $475 for under 6 to under 17 with as many junior boys teams as any other FFSA Club. FFSA fees are the same as any other ie team fees, rego fees etc Clubs like City I know charge $875 for under 11 and other Super League Clubs are the same ...

Re: Are Juniors funding Senior set ups in Adelaide Town?
What apparell do the Fulham boys get? This is one of the problems that increase the fees, I thought clubs were teaching how to play the game not a fashion parade. Kids don't need Track suits and new kits every season to play the game. That might be the case Steve#4, but some clubs like the juniors ...

Re: ENFIELD 17S DEFEATED
So now it's all about winning? I'd rather have players promoted to seniors... Several clubs are only using 17 as a team to allow players who did not make the elite groups of 16 an 18 a game. Thank if you look at most clubs 90% plus of 18 would be able to play 17 and even 16. I thought this would be ...

Make coaching courses free, put them on regularly (weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays) and enforce compliance with a rule that all coaches must be accredited. Hard to argue against getting your creds if it's free. Once eveyone's on the same level education wise then 'splits' in approach should be ...

Re: No debate about "Don't milk (junior) cash cow" column
Sponsorship is the main reason for shirt changes. Unless a club can stitch up a 3year deal with all sponsors they need to be re-done nearly every year. Some kids grow, some kids leave, then you have the clubs with names on the shirt, these can't be handed down to the next age group. The bottom line ...

If U17s is more community than elite at many clubs and/or it's not possible to use this year's U17/U16 results as a guide, then why not just split the Divs along geographical lines and save kids & parents some long trips from one end of town to the other?
