Re: Fixtures and Leagues 2012
They were released mid march last season (the 15th to be exact) so I would expect it to be around the same time.

Re: Setting Up A Club
Obviously there is a few blokes on this board that have played an integral role in setting up some of the SAASL clubs. From someone on the outside, I thought it would be interesting to gain some insight into the challenges of creating & developing a club, starting from the initial steps. I'm ...

Re: The Biggest Named Recruit
Congrats to Grove for signing Sri Lankan Warnakulasuriya Patabendige Ushantha Joseph Chaminda Vaas, without doubt the biggest name in SAASL history.
Quite a character too, 51 characters in fact.

Re: PLAYERS WANTED
Interesting discussion, if you don't mind me asking Pitbull, which grounds have you enquired about? I noticed the other day driving past Parafield Airport there is a pitch along Kings Road, I only saw a glimpse of it so not sure if it was full size but there were goals set up and what-not, surface ...

Re: Ofiicial Sat Div 7 (C's) thread
More dropped points for MA Hawks, makes it very very tough for them now.
Scores (from what I've seen):
Titans 2 - MA Hawks 2
Vipers 1 - Cougars 3
Monarchs 1 - Gleeson 6
Comets ?? - FC Adelaide ??
Stirling - RBE - POSTPONED

Re: Ofiicial Sat Div 7 (C's) thread
Just off topic for a second, who do we rate as the best player in Div 7? Obviously names might be tough to find but just an accurate description will do! Cougars had some very skillful players, MA Hawks had a very speedy striker which caused us grief and Titans had a very quick and skillful Asian ...

Finally, can someone from Gleeson let me know on here what colour tops you are wearing? Saves me having to send an email out...cheers. Re: Ofiicial Sat Div 7 (C's) thread
It was a gutsy move starting this Blotto but it's paying off! Was pretty surprised we got a result against Cougars to be honest, the club had around 13-14 players missing this week, including a couple the morning of the game, which lead to chaos, had a few for the C's who haven't pulled on the boots ...

Re: Ofiicial Sat Div 7 (C's) thread
MA Hawks were a good side when we played them, they smashed us but it was only our second game and we got no team chemistry and our current team is completely different to the one that played them earlier. Looking forward to the re-match.

An unknown man that has nothing to do with the club?
So he just came down to watch some amateurs which no affiliation to either team and decided to beat the shit out of the referee?
Sounds plausible.

Very tight league at the moment, but really can't see anyone catching Cougars.
Thought MA Hawks were a very good side when we played them, although it was only our second game together and we were struggling to gel.

Heard from a mate Gleeson have been re-instated into the Reserve Cup at the expense of BESA, who beat them a few weeks ago, that probably shows the future of BESA is non-existant, and rightly so.

Re: BESA SUPPORTERS SEND REFEREE TO HOSPITAL
Heard a rumour last night about how it unfolded, still not sure how true it is. Apparently the referee had some very threatening comments thrown at him during the second half which were serious enough for him to alert someone to call the police to make sure it didn't get out of hand, then injury ...
