I think what you are finding is that the bigger clubs are getting bigger. Ingle Farm could field 3-4 C teams this year. Downs, Gardens etc are in similar positions

Re: FFSA V SAASL
As some of you may know, I moved to Brisbane about 3 years ago. Looking at myself in the mirror one day, I realised I need to get out and do some running so thought I would find a club to play for in Brisbane. There were a few to choose from around where I live and so after about 3 minutes of ...

Re: FFSA V SAASL
So are there lots of teams in Brisbane ( amateur or semi pro like ? ) considering brisbane is mostly rugby, could it be why the $$$ are high is because clubs have to pay over the top for facilities ? An issue here locally,,,, SAAAFL teams are closing, and players follow the big bucks, especially in ...

Re: crows - respect or not for sanfl ?
I actually know Paul. He told Centrals that this year was his last year. He had a good season and the club said that he should play on and was probably going to. He applied for the Crows job and got it so told the club he wouldn't be playing for them. He lives up north and is/was a PE teacher at ...

Re: SAASL HJ Templin Preseason Cup 2015
Who's this jay walking bloke?! I do agree 12 teams would be good. More chance of us staying up in div1 compared to the standard year or 2. :D Lefty, the templin cup is great, but I've said previously I believe it needs to be closer to the seasons start. With 4 odd weeks from finishing the cup to ...

The preseason is turning into be bigger than the regular season. maybe it's time to go to 12 teams in Div 1 & 2 and limit the amount of pre season games played? Just a thought anyway

I believe the 2nd division is one of The hardest to get promoted from, last season we missed out on promotion by one goal, nobody else to blame but ourselves hopefully this season we can take that one Step further. Go The Bra Of course it's the hardest. The the highest level you can play in to get ...

Looks good Robbo. Just need the new furniture now.
At least you guys have the summer to fine tune everything and be ready for the start of next season. That cool room is going to be the best thing ever!!!

So many critics that still don't know the rule To be fair, this rule is nothing to do with the ‘last man’. The rule states that a red card should be issued if a foul denies a clear goal scoring opportunity. No it doesn't. There are only 3 ways you can receive a Red Card. Serious Foul Play, Violent C ...

I saw one game last year and none in the preseason so I'm probably best to comment  Downs and Gardens the teams to beat Farm, Inter pushing them Florina & Westies to give everyone a very good run for their money Vale and Vista to be inconsistent, beat teams that surprise lose, lose ones they ...

Re: Adelaide Crows 2014 Season Thread
I'm going into this year with some quiet confidence. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong last year. Tippetgate was a major distraction, our forward was devastated with injury and Sanderson couldn't quite get his message across as well as he could the year before. I think 2012 we over ...

With gardens losing some farmers adding the likes of Edwards I'm thinking it could bej close season for more then top 2 as it was last year. If simmo could get Luke air with Edwards, or has he? If we want more games just add more teams into each league... Or play each other 3 times... I hate that preseason is as long as the league season... Not literally I know but close enough... I agree. Div 1 at a minimum should have a 12 team league, possibly Div 2 also. Some clubs play almost a third ...
