Re: Numbers at trials?
I can only speak for a couple of the clubs that I know about and the figures went up dramatically for the midweek trials. Don't know if this was due to end of school holidays, less congestion of trials or boys not being selected at their first choice clubs. One of the clubs finished their trials ...

Re: Numbers at trials?
Hi Spooky We were trialing as newbies to Croydon, so cannot comment on what the mix was of JPL & JSL players from the previous year, although there was still one girl there, who was holding her own with the boys. I think they must have kept the core of their JPL team as the standard on the Sunday ...

Numbers at trials?
Trialed at Croydon at the weekend and there was a little over 20 boys for the u14 age group (two teams last year). Heard from a friend that they had a similar number at West Adelaide (again 2 teams last year) who are the league and cup winners. Is the FFSA plan working and JSL players are going to ...

Re: End of Year Review
Your club : Parafield Gardens ... Introduce a u/18 SAASL comp so clubs can keep hold of junior players & help them introduce to Senior mens comp - so junior players dont go running to FFSA & clubs can establish a pathway from Junior to Seniour within their framework Think this is a cracking idea ...

Re: Cost for juniors
Do all clubs charge the same fee for their JPL and JSL teams? No right or wrong answer for this one as it depends on the opportunites available (movement between A and B teams based on performance) and whether the standard of coaching is comparable across both teams. However, if teams are locked in ...

Re: Aug 14th Results
Couldn't agree more Veggos. I'm not affiliated to either club, but I don't think allegations like these should be made on a public forum especially when an offical complaint had not been made. There may be an element of karma however as I believe the accused team have made similar allegations in the ...

Re: Juniors in Amateurs or in FFSA
Thanks Karmann. Sir Bobby, it is a very difficult balancing act to try and accomodate all the kids that want to play football and also remain competitive on the field. We have got it right in some of the teams, but others are a work in progress. The hardest thing I have found to manage is having a ...

Re: Juniors in Amateurs or in FFSA
When we started the junior boys at Fulham we looked at E&D, but although the travel would have been taxing I would happily drive for an hour to watch my son play football. I think the main factor was that the games or at least some of them are played on a Saturday. It was a diifficult start in the ...

Re: Results Round 9
From my perspective that does not sound fair , but don't get the 2 mixed up. I think that most teams have had at least one game without a ref including the Adelaide City v West Adelaide top of the table div A clash, so if your club has only missed 2 then I don't think you should be crying foul just ...

Re: Results Round 9
Spooky72, do JSL clubs pay less fees than JPL clubs? If not, then why should they receive an inferior service? You (your son's team) are in div b u13, try and get things in perspective. JSL teams have had games without refs too.

Re: Results Round 1 - 27 March
I'm not involved at Pirates in any shape or form, but I'm a little surprised that anyone is looking for a forfeit result in round 1. Wouldn't it be beneficial for the players development to actually play the game at a rearranged time?

JSL U16 & u17
It looks like only 3 teams have nominated for the u16 JSL and 5 for the u17.
Anyone like to hazard a guess as to what the FFSA might do? Will there be change to the rules that allows these teams to join the JPL? Can they amalgamate both to form an u17 8 team league?

U13 Goalkeeper required for Fulham Utd
Fulham Utd junior boys have grown from 3 to 15 teams in the last 4 years. The u12 -u15 teams will be playing in the JSL this year. The current u13 team played attractive football last year. They missed winning their division by 3 points and finished top scorers. 2 players moved to elite clubs (we ...

Adelaide City 3 Fulham Utd 0
Outplayed by a very impressive City side who are a credit to their coach. I was very proud of the Fulham boys for managing to keep a clean sheet in the second half.
