Re: Women's Collegiate League - fail or fun?
If you mean that the comp is minus the 'feralness' of some of our northern suburb friends , then you're spot on :D You know what, with the issues we already have in this comp, we are trying realy hard to keep players, not only at our clubs but keep them in the game..........and you come up with a ...

Re: How do we fix it
i agree if the ffsa cant make simple rules stick, its up up to all the clubs to stick together,if all the clubs got together and make a class action against the ruling and together refuse to play there will be no competition but the problem here someone will give in,and make the others look silly it ...

The player in question was named in advance of Friday and I am 100% sure it was a simple mistake. Furthermore, when you have at least 3 seniors (available) with the same given name it is not uncommon when you do the visual check the names do blend in and it was a hot day. People seem quick to jump ...

Re: 1 4 4 3 formation
Presuming you actually mean 1-4-3-3.... I am all for it. It's not easy to teach a new team a new system, especially if they have been playing with a sweeper most of the time. But its not impossible. It just takes time, persistence and accepting that mistakes can happen when you try something new. I ...

What's your thoughts on back 4 without a sweeper. What coaches/teams are using this formation and how are you dealing with and over coming with the problems of getting caught out with a "flat back 4". I've always preferred to play and coach zonal positioning " but playing with a sweeper.

Re: results 25/7
We (E/Downs) had 5 players and our coach away on holidays and applied to ffsa for a postponement. FFSA refused the request because “our div 3 team could have been used to make up the shortfall” So our div 3 team which sits bottom, was expected to play their game and then half of that team was to pla ...

Re: Silvers Circus Round 2
What a joke !! Reserves in the same comp as 1st team ? It could only happen in SA. All clubs from Prems to Div 5 should be in the same draw, with preliminary rounds for the lower grade sides. A separate comp for reserves should be played as is done in all other associations. What !!! get out of ...

Here's a great opportunity for the Div 4 team to sharpen their skills. Put 5 goals in the net early and then play 2 touch, 1 touch, how many passes can they string together and then they have to beat that, and beat that and see what record they can make, maybe juggling with the feet and then ...

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
If you want to get this right you got to let things run their course. Don't remove a team because they're getting flogged. Let natural selection happen on it's own. If you're great you'll go top, if you're good you'll do well, if you're ok you'll do fine, if you're bad you'll do bad. That's the way ...

Re: Where to now for the FFSA and more to the point Womens footb
Here’s another twist to this subject. You got to coach the teams to the Premier Division. I’ve seen teams play from all the divisions, Prems down to 5th. When teams are coached properly, (advanced techniques and tactical all the way down to developmental), players having commitment and dedication, po ...

Who decides on the structure. Who makes the decisions to not have reserves and then we have reserves. Is there consultation or is it that decisions are made because of personal ideas and preferences. ?????

Re: Where to now for the FFSA and more to the point Womens footb
I know it could be messy to begin with, teams getting flogged, but with the “right structure” in place you have to let it run it’s course. This could take 2, 3 maybe 5 seasons but imagine in 10 years time, we could be playing soccer in a very sound, competitive and enjoyable environment. Not every ...

You work your way through the divisions by gaining promotion. That’s the reward for winning. But how do you do this with the current structure / ...
