To what extent has the impact of hooliganism affected the attendance at soccer games in Australia or the overall safety. I used to go to soccer games every week .. with my wife and my 4 kids I ...

Re: Overnight scores

I can't believe the FA haven't sacked this champagne yet. 0-0 at home is surely the last straw. Out of interest, who would you appoint if you had the option? I wanted Mourinho in the job when mclaren was sacked and nothing has changed. Until the last world cup I would have said Stuart Pearce but he ...

Re: Get Tony Palumbo off the air

Why SBS keep him on as a panellist has got me beat. Last WC he absolutely rubbished the eventual champs with nonsense criticism. This time , he again seems to enjoy putting the boot into Italy, as though he's trying to impress the "real" Aussies. I'm not suggesting Italy will win it this time, but ...

Re: Why FIFA's Rules Drive Us Crazy

1. A foul which results in a penalty CANNOT logic ally be deemed to be denying a goalscoring opportunity, and hence should NOT be an automatic red card. 2.Why does FIFA still not allow video technology to be used in critical decisions affecting the result of a game, whilst comparatively "lesser ...

Re: ...Ghana vs Australia ............all the LATEST NEWS

I understand the law and yes if the ref saw it as intentional it should be a Red but in my opinion the law should be interprited diffrently in this sittuation just like the Australian constitution is. The law doesn't go in depth enough and take into concideration an accidental hand ball that ...

Re: ...Ghana vs Australia ............all the LATEST NEWS

My 2 cents = yellow card and a penalty. I do not see this as an option the referee has two options: 1. if he thought it was deliberate , then he must enforce law 12 and award a penalty and a red card 2. if he thought it was not deliberate , then it is play on, no penalty, no red card, no yellow ...
