Re: Club Trials
Finally a topic with genuine responses all offering up a good debate. We must all respect the fact clubs want the best possible players but would it be fair to say that the "best" players don't change clubs anyway? Are their clubs out there that first look to promote from within EG JSL to JPL before ...

Re: Club Trials
Some great responses. I particularly like the comment about how can parents pick which teams to trial for when they don't know who the coach is. Coach quality would at the top of my list of criteria. I also am of the opinion making your "own" players trial does not promote loyalty or it's because ...

Club Trials
With lots of clubs posting about Jnr trials. I am wondering do clubs make their current jnrs go through the process also or are those players guaranteed a spot with in the team?
Also, as parents how do you decide on where to take your child to trial?

I think it goes by the year level the child is in. Year 6-7 comp is first year on full size pitch with all the standard Jnr rules. Well that's my understanding.

How do you forfeit an u17s game? There's no excuse in not being able to find enough players with in the club from higher or lower age groups.

U11s to u12s
I've heard if a few lop sided results in the u12s, not just this year but regularly over time. I'm still learning this info, so correct me if I'm wrong. The u12 comp is based on zones and not so much divisions right? But the u11s (& SSF) is not with teams playing against a wide variety of opponents ...

What is the purpose of the tournament?
I think it would be a good idea to have a prestigious tournament when clubs field their strong possible side at u16 level from any player at the club. It would be a good talent id thing also.

Re: another question re coaches
Which clubs have a junior technical director and who are they? Who is it at Birkalla Enzo? I agree it is an important position, but will only work if all the coaches pulling in the same direction. +1 Quite a few clubs have a "TD" but very few have ones that do it properly. I think Metro and Raiders ...
