Re: unsporting behaviour
The cup threw up a big mismatch (weaker JSL against strong JPL team). I have heard from a parent that the scoreline was 20+. The strong team decided to play the last ten minutes with no goalkeeper. The goalkeeper scored sparking wild celebrations. Is this really how we should be teaching the kids ...

NPL Victoria, the impact on juniors
This is the impact the NPL is having on a progressive club in Victoria. 2013 fees were $600 now are $2000 On Friday evening at 5.30pm, FFA and FFV announced they would move forward and roll-out the NPLV for season 2014. What does this mean for us and our club? Northcote City FC is in the current VPL ...

Re: FFSA junior playing in SAASL
In FFSA terms he can as the SAASL is a non sanctioned league just like a local 5 a side comp But the SAASL do not allow it. Very hard to track though. I think it would be good development and fun for some young non senior grade FFSA players to have a game in the amateurs on a Sunday afternoon. Some ...

Re: Modbury Vista FFSA Trials
Modbury would not be happy with this. Someone opening up the road from Modbury, Metro or any club would only destabilise the pathway program. FFSA need to step in here

A few players well past their best out there Saturday but some good glimpses of past and very entertaining. Summarised by BOSA old boys and coach outfoxed the Sturt old boys and coach on a small pitch

Re: 2013 Girls & Women's Cup Finals on Sunday 8 September
The senior final was an energy sapping game with the enormity of the pitch taking its toll on both teams. Adelaide city scored a deflected goal early in the second half then Metro clawed there way back into the game with a header from a corner. Metro coach got the coaching honours and league/cup ...

I am not going to play football anymore
The words "I am not going to play football anymore" are the words ringing in a Metro Dad's ear. His son in the U15JSL team, currently second in their league, have just been informed that Metrostars JSL teams U14s and upwards will be scraped to preserve the senior pitch. Whilst I am all for saving ...

Re: Millwall forget to bring kit to game
MILWALL were left with egg on their face after forgetting to bring their kit with them to Hillsborough for the game against Sheffield Wednesday. Their away kit, normally all white, had to be replaced with the home side's yellow before the game started. Read more: http://www.foxsports.com.au ...

Re: New Head Coach for Lady reds
I think Ross' appointment is a good one. He is a young ambitious coach without pre-judgement, has played for the Socceroos and comes from a family of (new and old) coaches with progressive thinking. BUT This decision says one thing very clearly (as did Barnett's): that FFSA will overlook any coach ...

Re: FULHAM RECEIVE $400,000 GRANT
Any money towards football is great but the Fulham group has upset their Western area counterparts with their junior and coach "recruitment". About time you got away from the kickers and got your teenagers into the FFSA State League, you can still have the old boys in the amateurs. Your women and ...

Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Results Round 9
Adelaide City played way better football but Metro battered them and should have won the game. Reed scored a great goal but City scored 3 from set pieces. Metro GK lucky to stay on early in the game and City stole the 3 points in injury time.

Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Twilight Round - Team Li
Maddison Kennedy should be refereeing these games not running the line. Besides being well good enough it is time for the womens game to be developing its own. You don't see Toth or Alberton running league game lines in the men's game.

Re: Victoria is the only state to include elite women’s team
When this rolls out in SA this will stop the here one day gone the next setups driven by a small power base of often just a coach and a couple of players. This will bring stability to the womens game and integrate womens football within substantial district based clubs.

Re: City v Cumberland Catch up result
I was there, the lines were faintly visable, a guy arrived just before ko to rectify the lines, complete idiot of a referee called it off 7.10pm, whole pitch was marked by 7.25pm. Both teams wanted to play. I hope this ref gets pulled over the hot coals for a clear lack of common sense and common ...

Re: Dave Edmondson coach of MV Women and FFV Women's NTC
A grade con man. People had faith in him here and it wasnt back up by his actions. His legacy is further destabilisation of the womens game. Glad to see Victory have him as he will prove to be a disappointment there as well.

Re: Officials stuff up womens final
The officials shouldn't struggle as women are refereeing mens senior games that are way above the standard and speed of womens national league football. Womens' football is very structured and flows predictably so should be simple to control. The penalty debacle was a stupid line call. I did feel ...

This gives a chance to appoint an appropriate local person.
Geoff Hargreaves has womens football experience and it save the FFSA costs as he already is on salary
Eduardo from Adelaide City has a great record in womens football and prepares his team in a serious manner.

Re: U17 teams for 2013
All clubs should field an U17 team. From a senior team perspective there are always late bloomers but WAY more important, boys of 16 and 17 should be able to play football and they are too young for the old thugs in the amateurs

Adelaide City championees
Sturt Marion girls could not field a team so forfeited. Apparently Marion and City were to play last Thursday night but FFSA stopped it wanting all games played at same time but Marion were never going to field a team today.
