Re: Florina v Downs
Hey LRO, you forgot to mention the pressure from the sidelines will have an impact in the Downs v Florina game. With Bert sporting different colours, the banter will be aimed square on at several players. Can't wait for the season opener

Re: RULES AND REGULATIONS
Believe it is tied in with Law IV (Players equipment) of the game. Shirt should be tucked in to the shorts.
If a player deliberately lifts his shirt then they are charged with ungentlemanly conduct.
Much the same if a player were to bend over and lower their shorts.

Re: FFSA v SAASL: Where to from here?
You there Kitchimo? Think outside the square bud! Mal Mac and The Kop are gettin across my earlier thread. It would be a huge task for SAASL to become the superior body, with the others having to fall in line with them. Or as Marooned pointed out with both competing in the marketplace under the ...

Re: FFSA v SAASL: Where to from here?
Hey Kitch,
the Crawford report is just that, a report that comes with recommendations, not laws that must be obeyed.
As to my original post re this and the SAASL, why doesn't the SAASL make itself the superior body with FFSA having to bow at the knees?

Why can't the SAASL step outside and go direct to FFA? as I believe the NSW Amateurs do?

Re: 2010 Sunday Div 1 Coaches
Wish the Evie Soccer Club all the best for 2010 with Chris as coach. A good appointment and great to see there will be a few new faces stalking the sidelines in Div 1 next year.
Chris is just going to be stalkin the sidelines, isnt he? rather than sniffin our defences shiraz as well!

Re: EDJSA Just screwed the kids and coaches
Hey Goal! Australia is about to embark on their 3rd World Cup appearance and SSF has had no input to the Socceroos ability to make it to the last 32. uhmm the reason why australia got into the world cup these 2 times is becuase of the new format and new direction ! otherwise if we follow EDJSA idea ...

Re: EDJSA Just screwed the kids and coaches
A couple of points EDJSA need FFSA doing just what they are doing, providing a 'pathway' for the suppossed 'talented player' and FFSA need EDJSA doing exactly what they are doing, by providing a starting point for any one curious about joining the Football Family. We've heard all the arguments from ...

Steady on Marooned, you forgetting my reply in SAASL RUMOURS! I swore on oath I thought! Anyway as the Downs already have The Rebels, and I was thinking of starting a little social group of Headhunters! This would soak up our apparent idle time and put our skills to good use. :twisted ...

G'Day Swannsong. E&DJSA have had it right since Adam was a boy. E&D started as a school based system but was taken out to the clubs once the senior sides formed. Its modified rules games have evolved over many many years and produced some great talents. Its unfortunate that FFSA tried the heavy ...

Was 1987 missing as well or did you just omit to mention it was the DOWNS?
And how about reciprocating with a wave next time you cross Franklin St?

G'day Lefty, Yes as many clubs do, we have always tried resolving issues that arise either internally or externally with those directly concerned, be it referee, coach, parent, spectator, child or another club. But you get to know those clubs and individuals that get their 'heckles' up at the first ...

Re: SUNDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 2009/07/05
DOWNS go top again in tight fought battle. Gardens had the upper hand in the first half going in at 2-1 up. Downs steadied in the second half but it was an own goal from a corner that saw them draw level. Then Gardens seemed to run out of some steam halfway through the second half and their defences ...
